Dining on the Island of Paros: Barbarossa
Paros
Barbarossa
This place was incredible! Still not sure if some of it was the night that we were there, we were sat in the crossfire of 2 very large 20+ parties of greek locals, celebrating, possibly just the fact that it was Monday night!
Great food, great wine, great vibes. This place had it all, and is a must if you are staying in Naousa. Even if your not, its worth making your way over there. Mostly outdoor seating, the restaurant is located in the middle of the old port, sitting in the middle of the dock, surrounded by water on both sides, boats and other restaurants not far off. Everything we tried off the menu was incredible. Great take on some of the dishes as well, their lobster rolls are a great example of that, nothing like you would ever expect, different from all the rest you've had, and creatively amazing.
The greeks are in no rush for anything either and live on island time. We enjoyed ourselves in the amazingly authentic atmosphere for over 3 hours. They had a DJ as well, playing anything from traditional greek tunes to some old classics you would recognize. Handmade deserts at the table ready to order. There wasn't one thing I would change about the experience.
