1800 Floga: Santorini
1800 Floga
I have to admit, that on this trip, I think that we ordered calamari or octopus at almost every single meal. Maybe that's an exaggeration, but definitely every day! When in Santorini right? Well, this place was no exception. The calamari here, wasn't breaded, but done the right way, lightly grilled to perfection, so tender, soft and amazing flavors. Simply put, I think I have to say, that this was the best I've ever had it, anywhere. And I have a great love for calamari and octopus.
While everything on the menu looked amazing, we also ordered the Red Snapper and Lobster pasta. The fish was so fresh and cooked in such a way to highlight and ecentuate each individual flavor of each dish, brining out the magic of the island and the sea.
If headed here, make a reservation so that you will be dining during sunset. The views and show that the sky will put on will blow your mind. Anytime of the year, even if the sun isn't setting on the Oia side, the colors that reflect off the Caldera and the ocean, even the clouds (if there are any), are amazingly breathtaking. We visited in late April, and while still a bit chilly, the oceanside and sunset views were remarkable and everything you see when you think Santorini.
